Accept the Word

2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
2 Tim.

This “crown” consists of life, that is, the crown is life (cf. Rev. 2:10).

Consequently it is essential to put away, or remove, all moral filth (ryparian, used only here in the NT; cf. rypara, “shabby,” in 2:2) and all the abundance of evil, and humbly (lit., “in meekness”) receive the implanted Word
