CIT: Training takes time, Jesus took 33 year to go to the cross for the lost world.
CIS: Following Christ is a life style and we develop a closer relationship with Him each and every day.
SO: Kids will learn that it takes time to grow in their faith in Christ.
Intro:
SM - What are you the best at? How long did it take you to master that skill? Do you think you could get better at it?
We – I hope we all understand that each athlete that made it to the Olympics took lots and lot of time to prefect their sport. It takes time to become one of the best.

T.S. - Shaun had to wait 4 years to get back on the slop, Jesus waited 33 year before he went to the cross...
Bible -
NIVTherefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
You – Say I am a follower of Jesus that is a commitment for a life time. Its not just because its cool to do, but its something I want to be know for. To train takes a long time it doesn’t happen in a day or two. Do you have what it takes?
We – are not alone. Jesus made the way for all. I will commit to going to Sunday School and praying and learning each and every day about the God that loves me.
PRAY - Yes Lord I will go into strict training to grow in my faith of You!
