Title: Complete Destruction
Text: 1 john 2:18-29
Application: Satan has set out to thwart the plans of God. We have to be ready because he is deceptive. Many will walk away but a true believer stays the course.
1 John 2:18–29 NKJV
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
Note: Antichrist- Against Christ
Oppose Christ, tries to supplement Him, or Falsely Represents Him
The Last Hour is Now: Began at the 1st coming of Jesus and it will end when He returns
Hebrews 1:1–2 NKJV
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
Heb
Note: Satan Knows this: He is ticked off and his job knowing he is already was defeated at the cross is to create a wicked atmosphere to create so many events in your life that you forget time is running out
Look at our nation: Look at what the enemy has created in our time. Sunday is no longer a day to come worship the creator, from sports to events you could find something else to do, sexual sins from hetro to homo is fluent. Our children leave confused from what the Bible teaches to what the world teaches. He has invaded the marriage. Over 1/2 of marriages fall apart, He has removed The Word of God from schools, made everything under the sun a civil rights issue, he was made abortion issue so numb that many of us never think about it.
When Jesus came to the Cross they nailed Him to the cross.
The Deceived
1. _______ from the Faith- went out from us- 18-19

The Difference of a Christian
1. _______ the Faith- 20-23
2. ________ the Dangers. – 24-25
3. ________ to the End.- 26-29
Jesus spent time warning of the danger of sin.
John 8:24 NKJV
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
See - False views about Christ if not repented from and corrected will result in eternal damnation
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
Jesus came as the:
1. Suffering servant- 1st coming as a Baby
Isaiah 53:4–5 NKJV
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
2. Conquering King-
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Revelation 19:11–16 NKJV
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions,
Revelation 19:11–21 NKJV
And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
May want to Read some of this Below in Matthew (optional with time frame)
Is poured out on the desolate.”
31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation
11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 “But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
May want to read the following about the AntiChrist.
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Think of it this Way when wondering about Christ.
Marriage Supper:
1. The Bridal Price- cross
2. Betrothal- Heaven preparing our home
3. Marriage Feast- 2nd coming
During daniels 70th week the Antichrist will come
Daniel and Zacheriah and others told of this event.
The Antichrist is so impressive Israel will sign a pact with him to protect her and rebuild the temple were God is represented and He will act in authority of God
Many scriptures scholars will tell you have already been fulfilled many thing the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 ad was what Jesus was talking about but it is not
There will be a great falling away and John talks of this- Jesus describes birth pangs to hard labor
We are now in the Braxton hick’s mode not what are described in Matthew
Deceived
1. Depart from the Faith- went out from us- 18-19
1 John 2:18–19 NKJV
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
John 6:66 NKJV
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
2. Deny the Faith- denies the son- 18
we are living in a day where people say there are many ways to Heaven. Heavens in you. Ect....
3. Derail the Faithful- trying to deceive you- 19
I have saw many who walked away from the church for several different reasons and Satan uses that. I’m not saying you got to go to church to be saved, but I am telling you it leans heavily on true Salvation when you are assembled
Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Difference of a Christian
4. Affirm the Faith- 20-23
1 John 2:20–23 NKJV
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
5. Acknowledge the Dangers. – 24-25
1 John 2:24–25 NKJV
Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
Story of my kids and telling them the danger. Many never tell them the eternal dangers
6. Abide in Him.- 26-29
1 John 2:26–29 NKJV
These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
John 10:27–30 NKJV
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”
John
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
