The Process of having Faith
King James Version Chapter 10
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Arrival
The text implies that Faith shows up through hearing, We have to grasp the procedure, you can’t get the results of Faith until you apply the rules of Faith. Faith can only be applied by and through the word of God. Although it is written in one direction it is actually applied in another direction.
a) You must be able to hear before you can receive faith
b) You must have the word of God before you are able to hear
Not an encouraging word , not a motivational,
How can we say that we have Faith if we do not know the Word, as a matter of fact if you don’t know the Word you don’t have anything to have Faith in.
The Application
Since when does it become ok to believe God for something, and not have any word to give you the strength to stand on what you believe.
I can receive my healing by faith (not because of mind over matter) but because the Bible says by his stripes I am healed.
Faith
Faith is the gift of God. So is the air, but you have to breathe it. So is bread, but you have to eat it. So is water, but you have to drink it.
So how do we accept this gift? Not by a feeling, for “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Rom. 10:17). It is not for me to sit down and wait for faith to come upon me with a strong feeling of some kind. Rather, faith comes when we take God at his word.445
