Imparting our way of living to those who are constantly with us.

When it is all boiled down, those of us who are seeking to train people must be prepared to have them follow us, even as we follow Christ (). We are the exhibit (; , ; ). They will do those things that they hear and see in us (). Given time, it is possible through this kind of leadership to impart our way of living to those who are constantly with us.
Robert E. Coleman and Billy Graham, The Master Plan of Evangelism (Grand Rapids, MI: Revell, 2006), 68.

Be prepared to have others Follow us

people must be prepared to have them follow us, even as we follow Christ ()
(CSB)
11 Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.
Attitude of Christ
(CSB)
CHRIST’S HUMILITY AND EXALTATION
Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus,
who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God
as something to be exploited.
Instead he emptied himself
by assuming the form of a servant,
taking on the likeness of humanity.
And when he had come as a man,
he humbled himself by becoming obedient
to the point of death—
even to death on a cross.
The question we should be constantly asking ourselves is how are we doing at loving others
Submission and Service (how can we demonstrate without being with)
(CSB)
21 For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

We are the Exhibit

We are the exhibit (; , ; )
It's all about what we do
(CSB)
17 Join in imitating me, brothers and sisters, and pay careful attention to those who live according to the example you have in us.
(CSB)
12 Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh are the ones who would compel you to be circumcised—but only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 For even the circumcised don’t keep the law themselves, and yet they want you to be circumcised in order to boast about your flesh. 14 But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.
(CSB)
Although we could have been a burden as Christ’s apostles, instead we were gentle among you, as a nurse nurtures her own children. We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember our labor and hardship, brothers and sisters. Working night and day so that we would not burden any of you, we preached God’s gospel to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers. 11 As you know, like a father with his own children, 12 we encouraged, comforted, and implored each one of you to live worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

They will do the things the hear and see in us

They will do those things that they hear and see in us ()
(CSB)
Do what you have learned and received and heard from me, and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
