2 Chronicles 2:4 ESV
Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God and dedicate it to him for the burning of incense of sweet spices before him, and for the regular arrangement of the showbread, and for burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and the new moons and the appointed feasts of the Lord our God, as ordained forever for Israel.
The Work and Worship of the Church fulfills God’s divine purposes and is powerful!
Our worship together should fulfill our desire to express our love for God!
Psalm 84:2–4 ESV
My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah
Psalm
Deuteronomy 6:4–6 ESV
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
When we worship with the right heart we are doing something that impacts our spiritual health

Worship Together fulfills the Purpose of Strengthening the Church!

The church needs everyone to do their part to strengthen it!
1 Corinthians 12:20–21 ESV
As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
1 Corinthians 12:
We need the consistent encouragement that worshipping together offers
Hebrews 3:12–13 ESV
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
When we worship together we have the opportunity to love God and love others.

Worship Together fulfills the Purpose of strengthening the Future Church!

God’s purpose for assembling Israel on this occasion is true of all times God’s people worship.
Deuteronomy 31:11–13 ESV
when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”
Worship together with our children allows them to hear and see the importance of God’s word and following Christ.

Worship Together fulfills the Purpose of Strengthening Yourself.

Growth and strength in following Christ is easier when we are exhorting one another.
2 Peter 3:17–18 ESV
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
God never intended that we walk alone on life’s journey and our spiritual path.
Isaiah 2:3 ESV
and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
We would do well to encourage one another to be a part of the church’s worship.

Worship Together can help the purpose of Saving Souls

Our worship together provided the opportunity for us to encourage others to seek God
Zechariah 8:20–23 ESV
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, even the inhabitants of many cities. The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord and to seek the Lord of hosts; I myself am going.’ Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ”
Zechariah 8:20-
Every time we worship together is an opportunity for much good to be done.
