(NKJV)
David, Bathsheba, and Uriah
11 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah.
But David remained at Jerusalem.
(NKJV)
Everything Has Its Time
3 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time for every purpose under heaven:
What Time Is It?
I didn’t know if you are aware of this, but in this Time frame God is Looking for a Few Good Men!
I need you to understand that, time is a quintessential factor inhuman life, from the point of conception; time itself comes into play.
Time is not our enemy, it’s a point of measurement to determine how we valued this life we now live.
It however is a reality that we must all face, it’s what we do with our in other words with the time we have; that matters more then time itself.
So my purpose, potential and destiny are all tied up in time, I can have awesome potential, phenomenal purpose and a great destiny but waste time and never see any of it come to past.
(NLT)
15 So be careful how you live.
Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
11 This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out.
Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
15 So be careful how you live.
Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Time used wisely, creates a well balanced life and knowing the time your in and acting accordingly in that time is likened unto a bridge of safety.
Now I would like to take a look at the lives of a Few Good Men in the Bible and what happen at certain times in there lives; but first lets define the word Time in both Hebrew and Greek.
1.
Time defined in the Hebrew as the word
mo-ade:
a. which means - appointed time, place or
meeting, season, set time.
2. Time defined in the Greek as the words
Kairos - meaning qualitative or best use of
time, quality (standard of
measurement against something -
the degree of excellence of
something.
Chronos - meaning quantitative or more of
it, more done, in larger numbers,
quantity (amount, total, sum,
volume)
Lets look at a Few Good Men, because Time is of the essence.
Ever had a David experience?
A. David - was in the season of war, he was in the
time when Kings go to battle.
Lets see
what can happen when we are out of
time, in other word not in the right
place of time.
(NKJV)
2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house.
And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.
B. Gideon - was in his season of concern, fear and
worry, the wanted to eat without the
drama.
Not realizing this was a season
or Time of visitation.
(NLT)
11 Then the angel of the Lord came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer.
Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites.
C. Joseph - who was in a season of transition, born with great favor, given a coat or tunic of many colors which speaks to his many attributes
Genesis chapter 37
D. Samuel - the time of calling (could that be you,
is God calling your name) what man
of God is in your life to instruct you in
what to do!
E. Elisha - the time of confirmation, do you know
your season and are you will to turn
lose what you have been doing to
follow the will of God for your life.
Elisha plowing a field had to break up
the yoke and burn it then kill the oxen
that were attached to the yoke.
That
showing that the time or season of that
was over!
When the Jesus Time came, He called a Few Good Men, it was due to there appearance that he called them, it had nothing to do with how much money the had or did not have.
It had everything to do with the time or season they were in and that they recognized the visitation of one greater than themselves.
So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts
What Time Is It, its time we answer the call, because God is looking for a few good men!
