God’s power shines brightest in the moment of darkest desperation.
The Christian Story is about a dark day when Christ died and his limp lifeless body was laid in the tomb.
One of the great themes of the scriptures is that even when man is absolutely helpless is is never.

Application
It is devastating to attempt to place God in some type of religious box.
(Think of the health/wealth/prosperity preachers who say - If you just believe you will receive healing.
If you just sow a financial seed you will receive a financial harvest.)
Think of those who are counting beads, praying to statues, reciting formulaic prayers - In hopes that their actions will obligate God to act for them.
It is not a ritual that brings God’s favor it is a relationship with His Son.
Invite God’s omnipotence to crush the spirit of hopelessness in your heart.
Remember that God doesn’t need you to serve Him but has become your servant through the work of Christ.
