Genesis 6:

Today we are looking at a time of terrible catastrophe.

A time when the wickedness and the violence of depravity of man reached stooped to such a level that God could no longer stomach it.

Now we are living in a day in age where the scoffers and the wicked men of the day laugh and scoff at such stories in the Bible.

Yeah there go those Bible thumpers again with their archaic fables.

But may I tell you that Archaeologist tell us will tell you that there was a worldwide flood.

We have found all across the globe from every great civilization stories, or legends about a worldwide flood.

We can see from geology that there was worldwide flood.

In fact you can go to the Grand Canyon and see plenty of evidence for a flood.

carved out in the canyon we can see rock layers and we can see where the rock lays all of a sudden shoot straight up.

We have millions of dinosaurs who have been fossilized and that means that they died and were buried very quickly, that's the only reason we have a fossil record.

THE DAYS OF NOAH ARE SIMILAR TO THE DAYS OF CHRIST

But let me tell you why you should believe the Bible when it speaks of this dangerous time of the flood and that is because Jesus believed that there was a flood.

and He warned of a day leading up to the time when Noah and His family boarded the Ark would parallel to the days when he returns.

Days that I am afraid we might be living in today.

Matthew

Matthew 24:36

The lord gave us signs to be watching for that will let us know that His return is near.

That is the last C on that chart.

The Consumation when the Son of God returns and takes his rightful place as Lord over all the Earth and all that you and I have done for the Kingdom will be brought into account and tested with fire.

Now how are the Days of Noah and the days that preceed the return of Christ the same?

First of all they were

Days of Apostasy

Gen 6:1

Now there are a couple schools of thought on this passage, And who these Nephelim and the identity of the sons of God and the daughters of men.

Some believe that when it refers to the Sons of God that it is referring to the godly son of Seth marrying the cursed daughters of Cain.

The other main theory is that the fallen angels that we call demons looked upon the daughters of men and these demons impregnated women and they gave birth to these half demon half human giants.

Whichever the case it was an unholy alliance and these were days of apostasy.

Days that corruption settled into the darkest depths of mans heart and they did what they wanted

Jesus said that in the last days there will be a rise of false teachers and false prophets.

Paul tells us in

Days of Anarchy

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them.

These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

What were these mighty men renown for?

Well it is obviously connected with the with the great wickedness on the Earth

They were the revolutionists of their days.

They were the movers and shakers of their day.

Now the use of intention of the thoughts, is an interesting word in the Hebrew and it means “to shape, as a potter would shape with his hands”.

These men were the influencers of their day, inventing new ways of evil.

Introducing to the world new wicked philosophies of their day.

They were renown for normalizing perversity, and spreading vice and immorality.

They were the Hugh Hefner, the Lady Gaga’s, The Richard Dawkins of the Days that were setting out to influence the world into rebellion against Almighty God.

That are introducing new social norms, doing all that they can to convince people that there is no God to fear, no hell to shun.

That God is dead and you are the captain of your own ship, the ruler and inventor of your own destiny.

We are living in dangerous days.

look at Verse 112

The earth was filled with violence.

Now I want you to think about the day that we are living in.

Is there a spirit of anarchy around the world?

Hatred rules the day.

Have you seen riots with looting , plundering and destroying property.

have you seen the anti law enforcement mentality?

Have you seen a deluge of pornography that has destroyed millions of families?

Do we see worldwide terrosim and domestic terroism.

Think of the programming on TV today.

How violent things are today.

How graphic things are today.

Think how vicious people are today.

Jesus said those days are coming.

Days of Apathy

But not only was there apostasy and anarchy in the time of Noah, but there was apathy.

Jesus there, in the scripture that we referred to in Matthew chapter 24, verse 38, said that just before the flood—I mean, to the very day that the flood came—they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, and knew not until the flood came.

(Matthew 24:38)

The bible also said that Niah was a preacher of righteousness whose message lasted for 120 years.

For 120 years God’s prophet stood before the people preaching a message of repentance, warning them of the impending judgment of God Almighty.

They watched Noah and His family build this monstrous ship, but all they did was laugh and mock, and scoff at his message.

Much like they do today.

But listen every playboy has his playday.

And the waters of Gods wrath are about to overtake the dam of His mercy.

And there is a time when sin and corruption reaches to the heights of heaven and the only thing God Almighty can do is enter into judgement.

—2 Peter chapter 3—and begin reading in verse 3. Peter’s talking about the end days, and he says, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts …”—and every time you find a person that scoffs at God’s Word, you’re going to find a person who’s walking after his own lusts.

You find a man who mocks God’s Word; I’ll show you a man with the devil’s initials carved on his heart.

Peter’s talking about the end days, and he says, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts …”—and every time you find a person that scoffs at God’s Word, you’re going to find a person who’s walking after his own lusts.

But the Lord is not slack concerning his promise, but is not willing that any should perish buyt that all should come to repentance.

Love that little word but, But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord!!

Grace !

Beautiful grace

We also have a grace.

Noahs grace was found on the inside of an Ark!

It became an Ark of deliverance, and Ark of Salvation.

An Ark that protected from the judgment waters of a Holy God.

Who’s desire is for man to walk in righteouness, when there is righteouness there is peace.
