Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mark 1:9–10 NKJV
9 It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.
John 3:23 NKJV
Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized.
Romans 6:4–7 NKJV
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 NKJV
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
Romans 6:5 NKJV
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
Acts 2:41 NKJV
41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
Acts 10:46–47 NKJV
46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
Acts 16:31–33 NKJV
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.
when you know what do to - and what God expects - DO IT!
Romans 6:6 NKJV
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
1 Peter 3:18 NKJV
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
GOD HAS GIVEN US THE GREATEST GAME PLAN OF OUR LIVES - HE HAS GIVEN US HIS WORD. THE BIBLE IS CLEAR ON EVERY TOPIC - SALVATION, BAPTISM, REPENTANCE, HEAVEN, HELL, ETERNITY.
WE READ THIS LIKE ITS A NOVEL - JUST A FEW GOOD STORIES - AND IT WILL NEVER CHANGE OUR LIFE. IT WILL ONLY BE WORDS ON A PAGE
ITS LIKE GETTING A BOOK WITH THE GREATEST GAME PLANS IN THE WORLD - FOR WHATEVER SPORT YOU MAY LIKE - BEING ABLE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO, KNOW HOW TO HAVE AND LIVE A SUCCESSFUL LIFE - KNOWING HOW TO SAVE OTHERS FROM ETERNAL DANGER - AND JUST SAYING - I’D RATHER NOT GET INVOLVED. I’D RATHER JUST READ ABOUT
I DON’T WANT TO GET IN THE GAME AND BE OBEDIENT TO GOD
I DON’T TO DO ANYTHING THAT MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE
I DON’T WANT TO CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT MY THINKING, MY WAYS, MY IDEAS, MY ATTITUDE, MY LIFE - I’LL JUST READ IT. BUT IT WILL NOT CHANGE ME.
YOU SEE BAPTISM IS NOT - A CHOICE! IT IS AN ACTION THAT SHOWS OBEDIENCE TO GOD
IT SHOWS COMMITMENT TO OTHERS
IT SHOWS THAT YOU HAVE PUT ALL ELSE ASIDE AND ARE READY TO REALLY FOLLOW GOD
MAYBE YOU’VE BEEN “SAVED” FOR YEARS - DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT, YOU’VE STILL GOT TIME TO OBEY THE WORD OF GOD.
SALVATION PLEA.
