Many are “Looking for Love,” but unable to find it because they don’t know what it is.
In the early eighties there was a popular song sung by a group called Foreigner, backed up by the Jersey Mass Choir. The song title was, “I want to know what love is”. It goes something like this:
This mountain I must climb
Seems like the world upon my shoulders
I have nowhere left to hide
Seems that love have finally found me
In my life there have been heartache and pain
I don’t know if can face it again
But I can’t stop down
I have traveled to far to face this lonely life
I want ‘ta know
I want ta know what love is
I want you to tell me
I want’ta know
I want ta know what love is
He Is All I Want
The Lord is my Savior, He is all I want. As I walk up the King’s Highway He walks beside me. He maketh me to lie down in a soft bed at night. He gives me sweet rest till morning light. He bountifully spreads a table before me three times a day. Yea, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for He walketh with me and will never leave me. He refreshes me many times a day along the way from the wells of Heaven and when we get to the end of the highway we will enter His kingdom, and I shall rest and sing for joy throughout eternity.
—E. M. Arcuri

1. Loving one another proves that we are born of God and know God (v.7-8). a. People see we have the same nature b. They see that we have been talking and learning of God (; ; Pet. 1:22)

2. Loving one another proves that we see God's love (v.9-11). a. “God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” b. By salvation, God saves us. c. We love a person as God with love them.

3. Loving one another proves that God's Spirit is within us (v.12-13). a. God is known only by love, only by His Spirit who dwells within us. (; ; ; )
