You might run your car for a few miles, but in the end you will ruin it because you put the wrong fuel in.
This is what we do, when we come to a need, deep down we need to turn to God, but instead we will ourselves with cheap substitutes.
Entertainment, alcohol, food, porn, whatever it is… we end up ruining our lives because our need drove us to sin.

Illus: Let’s be clear, you can say you are sorry till you are blue in the face but repentance is far more than simply being sorry in your sins.
I think this is why many of us don’t ever experience life change out of our sins.
You have to truly deal with your sins… this means cutting them down at the roots, turning away from them and filling yourself with God.
It is both leaving and cleaving.

Illus: Most times when we think of God’s healing we are purely thinking about physical healing… but God wants to do something far bigger than fix our physical deficiencies.
God wants to do heart work.
He wants to heal all of the mess we have created through our sin addictions.
Can you imagine if we were as passionate in praying for and seeking spiritual healing as we are for physical healing?

God may lead you to the impossible so that you can see that with Him, all things are possible.
Illus: One of the ways God likes to define himself is that he is God of the impossible.
We look at the circumstances of our lives and think that we are stuck…
God can do what we cannot.
