Review: Jesus Washing the Disciples Feet
-Love that Serves
-Love that Honors others above yourself
This is different than how the world thinks of Love…many believers that don’t love like this…but it is how Jesus taught us to love, and the example he wanted to make sure his disciples understood before he left them.
I want you guys to constantly be thinking about the NEW command Jesus gave his disciples when he was last with them…it’s our key verse…A new command I give you: Love one Another.
We have something fun planned for you today…A special guest to introduce our new lesson.....Fanilla Ice!!!

Skit 1-In classroom (Britnee-teacher, lesley and catherine students interuppting)
Clap, “freeze”.

(repeat with clap, “freeze”.)
How did you see ICE obedience?
Skit 2-Girls on the playground(Melissa, Britnee and Catherine)
Skit 3-Boys on the playground(Lesley and Kim team captains, Anne, Catherine, Melissa are boys)
Melissa are boys)
The first skit showed obedience to an authority, like a teacher.
The next two skits showed an example of obeying Jesus’ command to love.
Obedience was very important to Jesus, and he tells us that if we love him, we will obey him.
To really obey, we will do it well…Immediately, completely, enthusiastically.
When you choose to obey God, your parents and the people that are authorities in your life, your obedience becomes a light that points others towards Jesus....Imagine that, your obedience can be a light to others.
Pray
One chapter later… “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
You’ll obey all that I’ve taught you.
