CIT: Training has to happen to compete.
CIS: With out the right training to compete can not happen.
SO: Kids will understand that they need to train before doing.
Intro: Every afternoon going to football practice...
SM - What sport or instrument do you play? Do you like to practice? Is practice important?
We – all have to practice being followers of Jesus…Did pastor Phillip just start preaching as good as he did?

NIV9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. 12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Isaac obeyed his dad even though that he was about ready to kill him! What?!? What we can learn is that Isaac say his father obey God to the very end...
You – Just like the athletes that train for the Olympics they train to be the best. If you want to be the best you can for Jesus you have to plan and train yourself for it. You have been called to the game will you train?
We – are a part of something so much bigger than we know. We are the answer to the world that needs to hear about Jesus. We must be ready to tell them.
PRAY - I will train to be the best to tell the world!
