Hold on.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
This text gives us a warning that we should hold on to our faith.
This one sentence is so full of information and instruction that it should most certainly change our view on how we handle things
The first thing that we must understand is that trials come to test our faith.
If things didn’t come to test our faith then the writer wouldn’t give us the instruction to hold on to it.
We are living in a world where it is so easy to loose Faith, values are shifting, people are changing , but the Christian standard must stay the same and if you haven’t noticed yet it can be challenging to hold on to faith when you have so many diverse trials that come to test your faith.
Second thing that we must realize is that Paul uses an inclusive text , he says let (us) When he says us he includes himself. he is not exempt from process.
No matter your title or position you too must hold on.
I have found that the deeper that you go in God the more you have to be willing to hold on.
There are three things that you need to hold on too.
Your Confidence; The confidence of The Power of Christ; not by our power but his.
Your Commitment; We have to hold on to our commitment because our inheritance comes from our commitment Hebrews (3:14) says that we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast til the end
Your Confession; Its impossible to confess that which you do not possess, Seeing that we have a great high priest, that is passed unto the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Promises are so very special, however promises are only as valid as the person that made the promise.
If a broke man made me a promise that he was going to give me a million dollars I would listen.
But I wouldn’t hold much value to it because.
He doesn’t have the resources to fulfill his words.
But i would pay way more attention if a billionaire promised me a million dollars.
because he has the resources to fulfill his words .
When you can’t shout about the promise, you can shout about the promiser!!!!
