How is it possible that they didn't know?
The immediate cause for the people’s disobedience is their neglect of God’s great deeds: the Israelites fail to teach these mighty acts to succeeding generations ( Deut.
6:20–25).
Those who had seen these deeds kept the people faithful to God, but Joshua’s death marks the end of the generation that heeded these works.
2. They were Wicked-Rebellion (v11)
