Introduction of the African reservation
Did you hear of the problem that was happening over in africa with the elephants

How is it possible that they didn't know? The immediate cause for the people’s disobedience is their neglect of God’s great deeds: the Israelites fail to teach these mighty acts to succeeding generations ( ). Those who had seen these deeds kept the people faithful to God, but Joshua’s death marks the end of the generation that heeded these works.
2. They were Wicked-Rebellion (v11)
A)Evil - 1. of bad quality, 2. disagreeable, unwholesome 3. of no value 4. bad-tempered, morally depraved 5. bad in the eyes (= judgment) , displeasing undesirable, annoying, objectionable, 6. vicious, harmful
B)Sight - refers to a supernatural being’s judgement of the qualities of something or somebody it means right between the eyes.
C)Their wickedness was done right before the Lord (Yaweh) the same God who brought them out of Egypt!
D) To the point they served other Gods
(But it doesnt stop there)

3. They Worshiped other gods -Reverence (V12-15)

A)Abandoned - to Forsake or leave behind and this active!
B)El was the supreme Canaanite deity, a god of uncontrolled lust and a bloody tyrant. His name means “strong, powerful.”
C)Baal, son and successor of El, was “lord of heaven,” a farm god of rain and storm, his name meaning “lord, possessor.” His cult at Phoenicia included animal sacrifices, ritual meals, and licentious dances. Chambers catered to sacred prostitution by men and women.
D)Anath, sister-wife of Baal, also called Ashtoreth (Astarte), patroness of sex and war, was called “virgin” and “holy” but was actually a “sacred prostitute.” Many other gods besides these also attracted worship.
