We All Have Hopes

Health, Love, Financial Security, Family, Friendships, .......
Let me tell you, none of those things are worth putting hope in…

Benefits of Salvation

Romans in my opinion is the best book in the NT to teach us how to live
Divided in to 2 major parts, Plan of Salvation, and Practical attitudes to live it out.
Need of salvation for everyone
The method of salvation by faith
Salvation is not by works
Not by ritual
Not by rules
By the time we get to chapter 5 --- we get to hear the blessings of salvation as compared to living in the world.

Preaching Good News

We have peace — with God

We have access by faith into grace — through Christ

Romans 5:3–6 NIV
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Perseverence - when the going gets tough.. you stand
Ephesians 6:13 NIV
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Character - If perseverence is the ability to survive under pressure, character is to continue to thrive.
How do you react when under pressure?
When you behave poorly to you make excuse because of the ceircumstances?
Character developed through perseverance under suffering demonstrates the reality of the Holy Spirit in our life. And is something worth bragging about.
Romans 5:5 NIV
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Our HOPE when ii is fixed on Christ is a hope that endures.. In fact, its the only hope that endures. When all else fails His hope is secure.
Hope hōp
In the end hope will meet sight.
Hasn’t there been times where we take comfort in the fact that one day we will see him face to face.
Hasn’t there been times when in the middle of our struggles we remember that Christ promises to keep us.
oh know you never let go through the calm and through the storm, oh know you never let go of me. — Matt Redman
shall pluck me from his hand
John 10:28 NIV
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Conclusion

Here’s a thing about hope. Speaking broadly, when we hope, we are hoping that something will start that hasnt yet. We want to have good health, we want others to have good health. We want to stop sinning.
Or , we want something to stop that hasn’t stopped yet. Sins, suffering of loved ones...
Today lets pray for hope where it may have grown small.
And hope does NOT PUT US TO SHAME, because GOD’S LOVE has been poured out into our hearts through the HOLY SPIRIT, who has been GIVEN TO US!
Romans 5:5 NIV
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
GROUP AND GROW Things you want to start and they haven’t yet. Things you want to stop and they haven’t yet. You want to experience real hope in all situations.
