Introduction
The importance of this message is for families must choose to serve the LORD God and Him only, it is He who has blessed and protect us from generation to generation.
First we must note that it is God who created the family, Today our society has forgotten their purpose and have gone their own way, doing their own thing,
Gen 1:26-27

The family is formed by God, He forms man and women, give us spirit filled physical body who would recognize Him as our God.
Also, they began to bring children (parents are to teach) into this world because it is He who as enabled man to procreate, to form families who would worship Him, they are not considered as a family!
Gen 4:1-2
In our text, Joshua said, “Therefore, fear the LORD and Worship Him in sincerity and truth!
Get rid of the gods your fathers worshiped and worship the LORD (24:14)
Therefore:
Fear the LORD: יָרֵא reverence Him, have the highest respect, be in aw of Him
Worship (serve) Him: by keeping his commandment, carrying out His practices
In sincerity and truth: from the pure realness of your life, honesty in total reliability of your heart.

After being released from the wilderness the Hebrews did what they were accustom, after Moses left to go up into the mountains they resorted to worshiping other gods.
