2Sa 11. Dan Kroon. On Sunday evening we're beginning a new series on The 7 Deadly Sins, looking at the different forms that sin can take and how our corrupted hearts can be lured in and lead astray. We often prefer to avoid the topic of sin, but thinking through the nature of it helps us to prepare for it, stand against it, and flee from it. We begin this week with one of the sins that represent uncontrolled desire – the sin of lust. The fact that it corrupted the most godly human king in history reminds us how we all are prone to the temptation, in one form or another. So, we need to equip ourselves against it and choose self-control over self-indulgence.
