The Kingdom Of God

Mark 1:14–15 NKJV
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Introduction:
Last week we talked about what you and I believe!
Our foundational scripture
was
Mark 11:24 NLT
24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
Today I want to talk about The Kingdom Of God!
Jesus Teaches about the Kingdom of God
Luke records in the Book of Acts
Acts 1:1–3 NLT
1 In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach 2 until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit. 3 During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.
Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus was still teaching about the kingdom of God.
If Jesus took that kind of time to teach about it. And He told us to seek first the kingdom of God. That means our highest priority is supposed to be seeking the kingdom.
Two Kingdoms
Colossians 1:13 NLT
13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,
John 18:36 NLT
36 Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”
Jesus is the King of the kingdom of God.
The only way into the kingdom of God is to be born into it. When the Bible says we must be born again, in the original Greek it says we must be born from above!
We are actually born from heaven—another government, another country—the kingdom of God.
Jesus Is Our King - We are His Ambassadors
2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
Say His Name
Colossians 3:17 NKJV
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
The Kingdom Of God Lives In Us!
As believers, we have the whole kingdom of God inside of us. God’s plan is for the kingdom of God to spread throughout the entire earth through the body of Christ.
This Is why Jesus Said
John 14:12 NLT
12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
John 14:16 NKJV
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
Jesus was saying that we could do the works He did and greater works, by the Holy Spirit coming to live inside us. The Holy Spirit makes the whole kingdom of God available to all who would believe
It’s Inside Of You!
In the kingdom God has provided everything we need here on earth—understanding, wisdom, peace, joy, health, prosperity, provision, and protection. The Holy Spirit is within us to help us access every natural and supernatural thing we need.
Matthew 6:25 NLT
25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:32–34 NLT
32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
Since the kingdom of God is inside of us, then we don’t need to worry about anything. God has already provided everything.
Psalm 91:7 NLT
7 Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
God’s protection is one provision of the kingdom that is inside of us.
Luke 17:21 NKJV
21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
God is my source
You and I will never have to go to another source to provide for us.
Everything we need is inside of us.
God will bring to us, lead us to, and create for us everything that we need in this earth, independent of what’s going on around us.
Get the World out of Me!
Matthew 6:24 NLT
24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
We say we are serving Jesus, but they’re holding on to the world’s system.
The world’s system does not save souls, it saves money;
it tells us to store up all our treasure here.
Matthew 6:19–24 NLT
19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. 22 “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. 23 But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! 24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
One Focus
We must have one single focus! What does it require to be full of the revelation that it takes to live , operate, move forth in the kingdom of God.
All Things are possible
Matthew 19:26 NKJV
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
