It’s a question of “who is the final authority.”
If you are a believer than you surrender that to God’s word first then your understanding.
Not the other way around.

The question is Who is the final authority?
That is your starting point.
If you insist on scientific method then that is where you will start, if on emotional feelings then there, if human reason, then there.
Everything you filter will come though what you think the authority is that is the highest one.
God Claims to be the highest authority.
Do you believe that and are you willing to submit to that end and begin to see the world though that lens.

It’s about connecting with God and aligning ourselvs with him

God speaks throughout the Bible in many ways.

God’s pattern is not a fixed one.
He used many different ways to speak to his people.
It is important to remember that is is not about the idea of how he spoke but THAT he spoke.
