INTRODUCTION

MY MOTHER’S STORY OF HEALING.

MOM’S TESTIMONY OF HEALING

1. The Touch of Jesus Never Resists Truth.

Matthew 8:4 ESV
And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

2. The Touch of Jesus is the Authority of Jesus.

Matthew 8:9 ESV
For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

3. The Touch of Jesus is in the Atonement of Jesus.

Matthew 8.17
Matthew 8:17 ESV
This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

4. The Touch of Jesus is Made Available by our Trust in Jesus.

Matthew 13:57–58 ESV
And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.” And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
only trust him.

5. The Touch of Jesus is Our RESURRECTION LIFE For the Moment.

Romans 8:11 ESV
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

6. The Touch of Jesus often comes in the form of Victorious Grace.

2 Corinthians 12:7–10 ESV
So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 CORINTHIANS 12.

7. The Touch of Jesus is not a Secret Thing.

JAMES 5
James 5:13–18 ESV
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.
