III. The Lord Has a Purpose for a Child Before they are Born

Jeremiah

Jeremiah 1:5 KJV 1900
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Luke 1:13–16 KJV 1900
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
Luke 1
- The Lord made a
Jeremiah 1:5 KJV 1900

John

Luke 1:
Luke 1:13–16 KJV 1900
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

Paul

Galatians 1:13–17 KJV 1900
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Conclusion

God does not support abortion because each child is his creation, his formation, his fashioning, and he has his own purposes for each child. There is a sanctity of life that is prevalent in Scripture, even the life of the unborn.
Not only does God desire each child to be born he also desires each person to be born again.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV 1900
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
As important as life is to God he gave the life of his only begotten Son so that all people would have the opportunity to be saved from their sin and receive eternal life.
Today, as we seek to help those that are struggling with the decision about the life of their baby we must pray for those that are involved in preserving the Sanctity of Life, we must realize our need for Christ to obtain eternal life, and we should desire to live our lives to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.
Are we living out the purpose that God formed and fashioned us to fulfill?
