Unbelief Confronted - v. 36-44

John 1:1 KJV 1900
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

v. 36-44

The Word made flesh
Jesus appeared bodily and confirmed His flesh by eating as He spoke with them.
Jesus fulfilled all that the Scripture had prophesied concerning Him.
Point: The Confrontation of Unbelief - v. 36-44
Explanation: The disciples were afraid, perplexed, troubled after the death of Christ. They did not believe the report they heard so Jesus Christ Himself appeared to comfort them in their unbelief.
Application: Even with all we've seen and heard, we may sometimes live filled with doubt, being afraid, and allowing evil thoughts to enter our mind.

Recap/Transition: Jesus confronted the unbelief of the disciples and others giving them infallible proofs of His resurrection to strengthen their faith. After encouraging their faith, Jesus moves on to explaining the necessity of His death.
