I. What the heart is.

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he
saw that everything
they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.
B. The source of deceit and corruption: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt” ( ASV).
C. The source of all evil: “Out of the heart come forth evil thoughts …” ( ASV).
II. What the heart should do.
A. Love God ().

CONCLUSION: God says, “Son, give me your heart!” I reply, “Father, I give you my heart. ‘Create in me a clean heart’ ” (). “With the heart we believe ( ASV).
