TRUST
As this new year has begun, I have decided that my word for the year is trust.
I want to continue to learn to trust God in EVERYTHING.
As a new believer I had to put my faith in God that what the bible says is
100% from God, written by man, inspired to do so from God.
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

As Christians the bible is the foundation of our belief, we believe that the entire book, from Genesis to Revelation is from God.
And with continued immersion in it, we see how/why each part is put there.
I do believe in once saved always saved, however I believe that in my personal walk many times I decide to not trust that God is in control, that somehow little ol me needs to help God in the next step of my walk with him.
In this I am not trusting him, I’m not having faith that he will provide.
30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
31 Israel saw the great power that the LORD used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.
Faith vs Trust

This is the main difference between the two words.

Yet as believers we have so much more, yet we don’t act like that.
Many of days were wallowing in self pity, most of it brought on by ourself.
WHY DO WE ACT LIKE THIS??
It comes down to faith.
If we truly believe in God and that the word of God is true, then we will not have doubt, but because we are sinners, we will at times doubt God, and make our own way.
21 And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Yes as believers we will have times of doubt, after all we live in this old fleshly body, but we also know that we have the holy spirit who helps us in time of doubt.
HOW DO WE DEAL WITH DOUBT???
We have to go to the source, the word of God.
Thats why it so important to spend time in the word, so we can fight doubt and back it up with what the word says.
Romans 15:13
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

While reading the word and in meditation the holy spirit will lead us into making the right choice.
and give us comfort.
13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
