Jesus tells an important story, that illustrates the blinders we have on ourselves when it comes to how what we see.
Your view of God determines how you will live.
The 3rd servant saw God differently than the others, and it caused him to miss out on blessing.
Thus men regard God, not as he is but according to their own perverted views; they read their own character into their conception of him

Are you carrying it out as He sees it?
Or, as you see it?
[TRANSITION] - In another story - this time an encounter with Jesus - we see another man’s point of view...
This centurion believed that Jesus had command over sickness...
He even understood this, based on his own station or experiences in life...

The Apostle Paul prays over us a prayer that reveals this truth here...

Ephesians 1:15-
Your eyes must be opened to...
“know the hope to which he has called you...”
“know the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people…”
“know His incomparably great power for us who believe...”
Look to Him!
[PAYOFF] - Look to Him, church!
Don’t look on your own, with your own understanding!
We can’t possibly see this life correctly, on our own… in our own view...
There is something exciting ahead!
Keep your eyes on Him and you will get there!!
Look ahead!
[PAYOFF] - You will not and cannot see the vision without looking ahead, and looking to Him!
Look for what matters!
[PAYOFF] - Without prioritizing Him, you will change your vision and plan.
So, always seek Him first!
Look by His Spirit!
[PAYOFF] - Vision doesn’t come through your eye, but through His!! (His Spirit!)
