Application: Are You Bound? Do you feel like the World is against you? Has life just dealt you a bad hand? Today you can be set free from everything that weighs you down. Jesus can set you free.
Mark 1:40 NKJV
40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
We see the leper came to Jesus. He was a outcast. No one wanted him around. Someone may catch it. He was unclean and had a responsibility to let everyone know that he was unclean.
Leviticus 13:45 NKJV
45 “Now the leper on whom the sore is, his clothes shall be torn and his head bare; and he shall cover his mustache, and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’
We see some things that are worth pointing out:
Jesus had compassion. Some scholars believe Jesus was intense in this moment because
The Gospel of Mark 7. The Cleansing of a Leper. Ch. 1:40–45

the anger can be understood as an expression of righteous indignation at the ravages of sin, disease and death which take their toll even upon the living, a toll particularly evident in a leper.

Mark 1:41 NKJV
41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

41 And becoming angry, he stretched out his hand and* touched him*, and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”
The Leper worshiped Jesus:
Matthew an Luke recounts (worship/falling on face)
Matthew 8:1–4 NKJV
1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Luke 5:12 NKJV
12 And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Luke
Jesus saw the impact sin had on the world and how it affected man.
Satan has one task in this world.
John 10:10 NKJV
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
41 years I can account to these attacks:
I can see the consequences of living in a fallen world
Core of the family
The Government
The School System
The redefining of marriage
The Church- afraid to preach Repentance
Satan has redefined God’s Laws, God’s Family. God’s Word, and God’s Bride (His Church)
The Leper comes to Jesus as a example of the Toll of Sin (Not personal but because of the fall of man)

until you realize you have a need, you cannot find peace within yourself. He didn’t wait for Jesus to move, or He didn’t wait for the right time. He had one thing in mind. I am sick and this man can heal me....

Implored- Asked
Mark 1:40 NKJV
40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
