2017 in review
Show Video NBC top 10 stories of 2017
What a crazy year… I wonder what would be in your top 10… there are things that shaped your life over the last year and there are new realities that you face in 2018?
How can you live well in the new year?
This year marked the 10th anniversary of a tragedy that shapes our family to this day.
I not going to go into details but this year I was reminded of this moment in my life when I had no clue how I could face the next week – let alone the next year…
Tell about my doubt - how my father quoted
This simple passage blew apart my downward spiral of despair and gave me what I needed to move forward!
A Principle -
That leads to Action
That leads to Action -
And is backed up with a Promise
And is backed up with a Promise
I used to think this proverb was instructing me to basically turn my brain off – to not bother to try and understand but to blindly… follow my heart or my feelings about how God was leading me…
and as I did this if I kept praying and looking to God he would make my life comfortable and remove my troubles….It was a turning point in my life - and this little proverb really is wisdom for us as we face another year full of challenges and many unknowns…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart: Trust means to rely on, depend on, have confidence in.
With all your heart means with all your mind, with the full force of the mental faculties, totally and without reservation.
Do not trust in your own intelligence, but rather put your entire confi dence in the Lord.
Use another Video???
Do not trust in your own intelligence, but rather put your entire confi dence in the Lord.
Don’t think that your own understanding is enough to help you.
You must trust God with all your thinking.
Acknowledge him is to know him, have an intimate acquain tance with him, be aware of him.
In the present context it is not simply an intellectual awareness of God’s existence but acceptance of God’s presence to guide and direct your life.
Acknowledge him:
His presence
His plans
His precepts
His presence
Make straight renders a verb that means to smooth out, make level, or remove the obstacles in preparing a roadway
