As a church/youth we did HUGE things...
Focus on vs 29!
Wisdom comes from knowing you’ve only got a limited time to do something
EX: NOTHING MOTIVATES like a deadline - lol.
When you have a report, you’ve never worked faster than you do the night before it’s DUE!!!
That’s what God is sharing here - that when you know that there’s an end coming and we pay it mind, then we start to gain wisdom on how to see it come to pass.
Then, Moses is talking to all the people some of his last words, he’s reminding them of all the good stuff that God has done and wants to do for them in this book called Deuteronomy.
He’s reminding them of where they did things right and how to fix what went wrong.
Deut 32:28-
Vs 29 tells us that if we know what END we want to see, then we can easily find out how we should live NOW!
IF they had understanding then they would know that the only way to reach that end was through God’s grace and strength, that they could chase away their enemies, instead the enemies were chasing them!!
IF they looked at things through God’s perspective then they would see their “Rock” (God” was greater than the enemies’ “rock” (fading gods, temporary reward, weakly masters)
THIS is how we ought to be!
You got to tell tell God - I want the Thousands!
The difference is vs 11 - be CAREFUL to love the Lord your God.
Tonight: Let’s number our days!! Let’s see where we’ve been and where we ought to go!
