Christmas isn’t about a baby in a manager.
This is a vision of the LORD GOD almighty.
Adoni, the Lord seated on his throne.
Isaiah sees him and he responds with woe to me.
I am for I am lost.
I am a man of unclean lips.
HE immediately knew of the holiness of God and his own sin.
He knew he was finished.
Without Christmas Isaiah is right.
HE is lost, he is finished.
Christmas is about THE KING choosing to subjecting himself to the sin of Isaiah, and the sin of you and me.
This king who’s glory fills the heavenly temple not only subjected himself to the sin, HE became the sin.
Isaiah see the Lord
God becomes flesh
Philippians 2:

Being born in the likeness of men!! HE chose to do this
Hebrews 2:14-
The children, the sheep, the people of God are flesh and blood.
The angle Gabriel said His name will be called Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
Therefore The king who Isaiah saw, had to become flesh and blood just as we are.
Why? because it is flesh and blood that has sinned.
The only way for the sin to be paid for , is a man of flesh and blood to pay for it.
The only way God justice could be satisfied, He himself the pure and holy glorious one had to die.
This death destroyed the who has the power of death, that is the DEVIL*****-----
He helps the off spring of Abraham- anyone who places their faith in Jesus is a child of grace just like Abraham- saved by faith.
Not everyone places their eternal faith in Jesus, therefore not everyone is the offspring of Abraham—
Have you? what is Christmas for you?
Is it the eternal King who became your savior?
He made propitiation for the sins of the people- the holy glorious eternal almighty King became a man, swaddled in clothes by his mother.
All for one reason- to die for you.
He a man died in your place, the place of holy justice.
Your place he took upon Himself.
Paid in full nothing lacking and then rose from the dead, giving us victory over death.
So as we go on tonight on the eve of Christmas, love much, praise much, receive much.
When you wake up in the morning to exchange gifts, pause as a family and pray to the Glorious almighty King Jesus who gave us the greatest gift of ALL!!!
