Scripture -
4 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Introduction
I believe in my heart this morning that it is unproductive and just wrong to separate the Birth of Christ from His life and His death and Resurrection.
We cannot celebrate the birth without acknowledging His Death, Burial and Resurrection for that is the Gospel.
To just celebrate His birth would leave the us an insufficient gospel, not only that but it leaves us with an incomplete salvation.
It took the birth of Christ, the death of Christ His Burial and Resurrection to fulfill God’s redemptive plan for the world.
And because Christ fulfilled this plan, we who believe have not only the right to become the children of God but also the sons of God.
Valuing and Exercising Rights
It is interesting to note that we live in a society where we value our rights.
The right of free speech, the right to vote, We live in a time when it seems that everyone is concerned about exercising their “rights.”
Society has become divided as various groups form different perceptions of what their rights should be.
There are those on the Left who feel like certain rights are being denied their constituent and there are those on the Right who feels like certain rights are being denied their constituents.
And the more Groups work to achieve their rights, the more intense the struggle becomes and the the more heated the social conflict.

And we have some in this country who would fuss and fight over the right to be able to say “ Merry Christmas”.
but yet not know what it really means.
Because you cannot separate the birth of our savior from the death, burial and resurrection.
We may have many rights but we do not have that right.
The more intense the struggle to achieve those rights, the more social conflict seems to escalate.
So you see here my brother and sisters this was what Paul was trying get across to the Galatians.
Before God, no one has any rights; whatever rights they once had have been forfeited because of sin.
And there were some in the church of Galatia who were trying to forced Jewish and Gentile Believers back into bondage from being Sons of God to being Children of God.
Yes my brother and sisters freedom in Christ requires a transformation of our heart and our mind.
This transformation begins by understanding that some:
Children Is In Bondage

3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Such is the plight of all sinners before God—helpless and hopeless (, ).
But just as God gave life, resources, and responsibility to humanity in the beginning (), so now He has given Christ His Son to rescue or “redeem” people from sin and grant them all the privileges of adoption into the family of God ().
No one deserves that, which is why receiving Christ’s new life and the rights therein is truly a gift.
If as believers we have received these treasures from God, then we ought to let others know that the same opportunity[1]
We are No Longer Slaves
We Are The Children of God
We are The Sons of God
