Scripture stresses the total humanity of Jesus Christ.

Although sinless, Christ shared in the general condition of humanity, including suffering and death.

As a human, Jesus is acquainted with all of our ways.

As a result, He knows everything we are going through.

Jesus can relate to any challenges we endure regardless of background.

Why was a manger selected for Jesus’s bed?

The manger, the feeding trough, where they fed the animal.

Why the manger?

Jesus wants to identify everyone regardless of background.

Salvation is available to all and God is with us (vs 1:23)

To truly to discover our greatness we need to examine 3 areas -

Perception

Providence

Promise

Perception

How do we perceive ourselves?

Have we allowed the society to influence our personal perception?

He warns us not to be polluted by the world in

You are not defined by even your family, job or what you have done good or bad.

You are defined by who Christ say you are.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

We have no right to think any less of ourselves than what Christ thinks of us.

When we do, we have taken Christ down off the throne and placed ourselves.

lets us know that God takes so much pleasure in us that He will rejoice over us with loud singing.

Providence

What is Divine Providence?

Divine providence is the governance of God by which He, with wisdom and love, cares for and directs all things in the universe.

The doctrine of divine providence asserts that God is in complete control of all things.

He is sovereign over the universe as a whole (), the physical world (), the affairs of nations (), human destiny (), human successes and failures (), and the protection of His people ().

This doctrine stands in direct opposition to the idea that the universe is governed by chance or fate.

He desire to use us; our experiences, success, failure, hurts, disappointments etc to advance the purpose of Jesus’s birth to bring people to Him.

Salvation.

Greater things he will do through us.
