Is there anything better than being saved?
Yes…It is being saved and knowing that your salvation is assured. Your salvation is eternally secure.
Eternal security is the teaching that a Christian cannot lose their salvation because of his relationship with God based upon the finished work of Christ.

When does a believer get eternal life?

John 5:24 NKJV
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
John 3:16 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
When? According to you get eternal life the MOMENT YOU BELIEVE. You HAVE passed, not will pass from death to life.
1- Salvation is a free gift by grace through faith.
,
Ephesians 2:4–5 NKJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Ephesians 2:8–9 NKJV
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Salvation does not come from anything of or within ourselves. Salvation does not come because of our works. Salvation comes by grace through faith.
GRACE = God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
GRACE = is receiving something we do not deserve.
GRACE was for ALL at the cross when Jesus died to pay the penalty for sins He never commited.
FAITH = Forsaking All I Trust Him. I forsake my ability, my goodness, my good deeds, my good intentions for His completed work.
Grace saves, faith lays hold of grace.
So, if salvation comes as gift of God, by His completed work…how can we lose it…it is not ours to lose.
2- When we are saved we are forgiven of ALL our sins.
A believer in Jesus has ALL of their sins forgiven…past , present and future. Not only that, the debt for those sins, which is death, is cancelled.
Isaiah 43:25 NKJV
“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.
Heb
Hebrews 10:17 NKJV
then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
Acts 10:43 NKJV
To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
Ephesians 1:7 NKJV
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
3- When we are saved God declares us righteous.
There is an incredible exchange that takes place at salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Romans 4:5 NKJV
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
When God looks upon a believer He does not see the sin or a sinner. He sees a child of God, forever forgiven and cleansed.
If you were in a court of law and the Almighty God was sitting upon the throne He would repeat Pilate’s words from:
Luke 23:4 NKJV
So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”
Not only does God see us sinless and righteous but He sees us sanctified.

Hebrews 10:10 NKJV
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:14 NKJV
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
As a believer you have been PERFECTED FOREVER.
4- The Holy Spirit has been sent as a seal.
Galatians 4:6–7 NKJV
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
The Holy Spirit not only indwells the believer but He SEALS the believer.
Ephesians 1:13–14 NKJV
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
A seal authenticates a document. A seal serves as a lock to protect something. A seal signifies ownership. You are His and He says He will not lose one, save the son of perdition.
John 17:12 NKJV
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
Ephesians 4:30 NKJV
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
5- Christ’s intercession saves us to the uttermost.
Romans 8:34 NKJV
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Hebrews 7:25 NKJV
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Uttermost - double meaning
1- unlimited amount of time, always, forever, eternally
2- a degree of completeness, totally, entirely, wholly
6- He promises that no one can take us from Him, His hand.
john 10.2
John 10:27–29 NKJV
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
We do not need to hang on because God is holding onto you.
7- We have been adopted into His family.
He is our heavenly Father:
Galatians 4:6 NKJV
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
Our future home is heavenly:
Revelation 21:1–2 NKJV
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Hebrews 11:16 NKJV
But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
Our names are in the Book of Life:
Luke 10:20 NKJV
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Our inheritance is protected by the power of God:
1 Peter 1:3–5 NKJV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Let’s say your disowns you, moves to the other side of the world and never speaks to you again. Are they still your child? Have they inherited your name and characteristics?
8- No one and nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Romans 8:38–39 NKJV
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
rom 8.
Life or Death
We all have a measure of fear when facing death because we are entering the unknown. We also have things in life that may bring fear. Bt nothing is life or death can separate us from the love of God.
Things Present or Things to Come
No experience or potential experience can separate us from the love of God.
Height or Depth
There is nowhere where we may go in all of God’s creation that is far enough to escape the love of God.
Angels, Principalities, Powers
No angelic, demonic, supernatural, paranormal power has any authority or power over our God.
Nothing can separate us from the love God. That is His promise and that makes separation from His love an impossibility. Eternal life is eternal.

Essential Doctrine of Eternal Security

1- For believer’s spiritual health

Can you imagine living a life where you do not know if you are welcome in the family from one minute to another? This is clearly works based. IF you have born into the family of God there is nothing that can change you position.

2- The believer’s spiritual productivity and witness

How confident will you be in sharing your hope in Christ if you think the relationship can be severed or if you think you can lose your salvation?
For most of us…who are not gifted evangelists…there must be an overwhelming love for and security in Christ in order for us to share the hope we have in His completed work on the cross. That is what God wants to instill in us…surety.
Romans 8:38–39 NKJV
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 5:24 NKJV
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
1 John 5:11–13 NKJV
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
