In the beginning women and men shared an open and unashamed relationship with one another and with our God. Then through sin that relationship was shattered. The separation was palpable. Despite men and women’s best efforts the distance between God and humankind seemed to grow without ceasing. In reality the distance was never large, God has always been present

A refrain throughout the Scriptures points to an expectation…a hope…a messiah. The one who would in some way restore the relationship with God that had been shattered so soon after it had all begun.
