A world in Darkness
We live in a world that is inventing new ways to sin and violate the laws and grace of God.
This darkness takes shape in murder, modern day salary, distorted views of marriage, sexual immorality, greed, wars and so more.
The questions must be asked where did our moral and spiritual values have gone?
How long would this darkness govern the earth.
Darkness exist in the heart of man because of the absence of light .
Therefore Darkness has no power but depends on the lack of light for its strength.
Apostle John the son of Zebedee is writing to a people after the destruction of Jerusalem and the dispersion of the Jews in A.D. 70 as a testament of
the divine nature of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Light of the World
his is the situation when Jesus now again speaks and declares (λέγων), “I am the light of the world.”
The emphatic ἐγώ means I and I alone, I and no other.
