Incarnation

Word of God Himself, Son of God who in the beginning was with God, through whom all things were made, who for the purpose of delivering man from eternal death and restoring our fellowship and purpose to be image bearers became MAN.
He was the form of God.
He emptied Himself by taking on man’s flesh and humility, yet without reducing His majesty.
HE remained all that HE was, and assumed all that He was not.
He united a slave and God’s equal in one manger.
Joined both natures.
In a supernatural way, where the lower form was not swallowed up by His exaltation and His exaltation not impaired by His new form.
The two natures swaddled together in one form:
Majesty and humility
Strength and weakness
Eternity and mortality
For the purpose of paying a debt.
True Man and True God combined to form one Lord
He could die with one and rise again with the other.

For unto Us

The Angel declared that “unto us” is born this Savior.
The newborn King was born for us.
We receive this new born King as our own, it is personal
The benefit if this One born in a manger is for you personally, to take as your own.

Nativity

The invisible God, now the embodiment of a baby.
The One who can not be touched, now lies in the arms, subject to man.
He gave up His throne, to take up His manger.
The disgrace will give way to His honor.
Swaddled now with humility, but will be clothed in glory once again.
His total humiliation is the sum of God’s goodness towards man.
He assumed flesh, so our lives would be capable to live His Word.
He takes our flesh and gives us His spirit.
On this day:
Truth has been restored
Satan has been confounded
Demons must flee
Power of death gives way to victory
Curse is taken away!!!

Keeping Christmas

Awake, dear believer! For your sake Jesus, became man.
Without the Remedy, without the fulfillment of the Promise, without mercy:
Never would we be freed from sinful flesh
There would be no atonement for our sins
We would not be made holy
We could not put off the old man, in order to put on the new
We would not be able to throw off the heavy yoke of our sin, and bear the yoke of Christ.
Suffer eternal death apart form God
Suffered an eternal burning
There is no life. We would remain dead.
Without Him coming to our aid, we would have perished.
We must today and everyday, joyfully celebrate the coming of Immanuel. The coming of this One, wrapped in swaddling clothes who has saved us from our sins. Our redeemer is wrapped up in this manger. He is the embodiment of our salvation.
Keep Christ at the center of this Advent season.
We all long for a savior. We look for someone or something to make us happy, feel a void, ease our pain, solve our problems, aid us in our business discoveries, and guide us in our pursuit for the perfect mate…we all are searching, all in need. Jesus is the answer to all of our longings. Pursue Him this Christmas. Celebrate Him, for He has come!!
Consider how we may truly observe and celebrate this time in a way that brings God the glory.
Pray for a heart that earnest would seek Christ this year.
Let your words be spent in conversations that profit all those who hear
May your cares and concerns not be about self, but having a heart that seeks to honor Christ by considering yourself low, and serving others.
Regarding your behavior, may you remember that your life is on display to all those you encounter. By your behavior you will either draw men to marvel at God or repel them against this Savior.
When life gives you an abundacne may you use it for the glory of God and the beneft of those in need.
Search your heart and see what motivation drives your every action. Do your actions proceed from a heart of the truest of love or to gain some worldy advantage.
This Advent season may you be found in the ways of God.
