Ps 25. Tony van Drimmelen. There is a heightened sense of anticipation about this time of the year.  We are involved in plans that we pray will have good outcomes over this Christmas, New Year period.  As David writes this Psalm he demonstrates a confidence and maturity that, no matter what the outcome of his life’s circumstances, God will prove Himself to be gracious.  To have this kind of anticipation that does not disappoint, means that we need to take the same approach to our plans.  At every level, David pleads with God to take away shame, guilt, loneliness and his enemies.  He is not short on listing the demons (v.17) that plague him.  With humility of heart he draws nearer to God and talks to Him as a Friend.  Christmas is a sure sign that God has drawn near to help us in all of life.  How will you anticipate the life transforming impact of Christmas?
