Steps into His Presence
Step or Level 1. You died
And you were made alive in Christ
Romans 6:4-11
4 Therefore we (YOU and I) were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Step 2. You received His Spirit
Romans 8:9-11
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:15-16
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call Him, "Abba, Father." 16 For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children.
Step 3. You are in Christ and
Christ is in you.
In John 14:20
20 When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
Galatians 2:20
20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
1 Corinthians 1:30
30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, ……
John 6:56
56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
John 15:5, 7
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Step 4. You are holy and blameless
Colossians 1:22
22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Colossians 1:26-27
26 This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God's people. 27 For God wanted them (Israelites) to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you hope and assurance of sharing his glory.
Colossians 2:10
10 So you also are complete—perfect through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Colossians 2:13-15
13 …Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
Step 5. You have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2:16
16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Step 6. You are an heir of God.
Romans 8:17
17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are co-heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Ephesians 1:11
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
Ephesians 1:18
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
1 Peter 1:3-4
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away,…
Colossians 1:12
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
2 Peter 1:3
3 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
2 Peter 1:4
4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires.
Step 7. You are Seated in the heavenlies in Christ
Ephesians 2:4-7
4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:1-3
1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
Hebrews 4:16
16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 10:20
20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
Ephesians 1:20-21
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
You have Access
Ephesians 2:18
18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Ephesians 3:11-12
11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

You have an inheritance — resource

17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are co-heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
2 Peter 1:3
3 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
Closing
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Colossians 1:23
23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News….
Hebrews 10:23
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
