People Tend To Worry More at Christmas

Women Worry About

Men Worry About

Worry Never Solves Tomorrows Problems, It Only Robs Todays Peace.

Psalm 84:5–8 NIV84
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. 8 Hear my prayer, O Lord God Almighty; listen to me, O God of Jacob.Selah

You are to set your hearts to Follow God.

It’s in the Valley of Tears that God will meet you!

God Wants to Bring Refreshing to you in the Middle of Your Valley of Tears!

Why Would You Make it like a Spring or a well in the middle of the Valley of Tears?

No Matter What the Situation, the common enemy we all fight is WORRY.

Have you ever studied Worry?

Definition of Worry -
Worry is expecting the worst Possible Outcomes and it will rob you of Peace and Joy.

What are You Worried about Today?

Jesus -
Matthew 6:25–34 NLT
25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Jesus love you and I more than He loves the Birds!

The Real Issue is, Do I Trust God?

Proverbs 3:5 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Do You Trust God?

Trust is a deliberate decision to come into who God is, to hold on to what He says, to believe that it’s true and to hide yourself in Him.

Isaiah 26:3 NLT
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Paul Give 4 Practical Steps We Can Take to Let Go of Worry and Embrace the Peace of God.

Philippians 4:6–9 NLT
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Step 1: Stop Worrying about Anything.

Philippians 4:6 NLT
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Worry is expecting the worst Possible Outcomes and it will rob you of Peace and Joy.

Most Things People Worry About Never Happen.

Worry is a learned Behavior so it can be Unlearned.

Matthew 6:34 NLT
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Step 2: PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.

Philippians 4:6 NLT
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Prayer defeats worry by allowing to OFF LOAD our worries onto the Lord.

We are to Pray about Everything because God is concerned abiut every area of our Lives

James 4:2 NLT
2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
1 Peter 5:7 NLT
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

People who are active in church live longer lives.

Step 3: DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.

Philippians 4:6 NLT

18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

You Develop an attitude of Gratitude when you are going through difficult times and you choose to focus on what’s left, not on what’s lost.

Step 4: FOCUS OUR THOUGHTS ON THE RIGHT THINGS

Philippians 4:8 NLT
8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

To Embrace the Peace of God, we must Refocus our Thoughts from the Negative to the Positive.

To Embrace the Peace of God, we must Guard what we allow into our minds.

If we will practice these Four Steps, we can experience and embrace the Peace of God

Philippians 4:7 NLT
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
