In the financial world there is a term that people use to describe attitudes that affect behaviors. This term is F.U.D.

F.U.D.

Fear Uncertainty Doubt

in today’s world we are experiencing a lot of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Fear of the unknown, uncertainly of our position, doubt about well everything. FUD is everywhere we look and live. in our fear uncertainty and doubt in the our elected officials, fear uncertainty and doubt in our communities, fear uncertainty and doubt in one another, the times we are living in right now are dark times. every nightly news cast seems to be a little darker than the night before.

What we What we need is Light...

What we need is Light…

The days of the prophet Isaiah were dark times too... The nation of Judah had abandoned God.
Isaiah 9:2 NASB95
The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.
this was a prophecy of a future generation 730 years in the future… then 7 centuries later, a tax collector turned Apostle wrote this...
isa 60 1
Matt 4:16
Matthew 4:16 NASB95
The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light, And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned.”
There is something about light that gives hope… see, darkness is not really a thing, there is no measure of darkness, there is no scale to determine how dark something is its a perspective. darkness is the absence of something… when light is introduced, darkness ceases to be. The same prophet Isaiah over 700 years before Mary and Joseph made a trip to Bethlehem wrote this...
Isaiah 9:6–7 NASB95
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.
John, one of the very first men to believe in Jesus wrote...
John 1:5 NASB95
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 8:12 NASB95
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
1 John 1:5–9 NASB95
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psalm 27
Psalm 27:1 NASB95
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
John 12:35–37 NASB95
So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. “While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them. But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.
John 9:5 NASB95
“While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”
Psalm 27:1 NASB95
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
Psalm 27
Luke 11:34–35 NASB95
“The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. “Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness.
1 Peter 2:9 NASB95
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Matthew 5:16 NASB95
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matt
Isaiah 9:1–5 NASB95
1 But there will be no more gloom for her who was in anguish; in earlier times He treated the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali with contempt, but later on He shall make it glorious, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. 2 The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. 3 You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. 5 For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.
Isaiah 9:1–7 NASB95
