4 Reasons To Trust Jesus In The Storm
Jesus Sends Us Into The Storm
God Raised Up The Storm
God Had A Purpose In The Storm
God used the storm to accomplish at least two objectives.
First, Jesus tested the faith of the disciples.
It is in the storms of our lives that our faith is tested the most.
The second objective Jesus accomplished was displaying his authority over nature.
Jesus rebuked the wind with authority and the wind and sea obeyed.
It heard the call of it’s master and could not resist His command.
Jesus Is Our Calm In The Storm
Jesus is With Us in The Storm
Jesus Slept through the storm.
His relaxed and anxiety free approach to traveling showed his uncompromising belief in his plans and purposes.
If Jesus wanted to go to the other side he was going and nothing in the world was going to stop Him.
Jesus Has sent His Gospel out to the entire world, and has commissioned us to take it.
He will continue to be our calm no matter what storm may rise.
Jesus Is Stronger Than The Storm
Jesus Has All Power and Authority
He calmed the storm with just three words.
His power over the storm was absolute.
The Wind and the sea heard the voice of their creator and obeyed.
Jesus Will Mature Us In The Storm
Mark 4:38,41
The Storm Can Cause Us To Doubt.
The disciples thought that Jesus didn’t care for them.
They misunderstood Jesus napping as a lack of concern for their wellbeing.
When Jesus Calms a Storm We Glorify Him
Who is this?
This is a question that shows the sudden realization in the minds of the disciples that this is not a mere teacher they are dealing with.
Their understanding of who Jesus is grew by leaps and bounds because of the storm.
Their faith in Him was increased, and their relationship deepened as they were reminded of the power and provision that Jesus held over their lives.
This question is one of wonder and amazement.
It speaks to the unfathomable greatness of the God of the Universe.
