Introduction- Shalom
Shalom - is a precious word to the Jewish people.
It means so much more than just an absence of war or distress.
Shalom means wholeness, completeness, health, security and proper prosperity.
When you are enjoying God’s peace there is joy and contentment.
Not as the World gives
Christian peace is not like worldly peace.
It has nothing to do with physical or emotional situations or circumstances.
The world bases its peace on resources - Christians base their peace on relationships.
For the world - money, love, education = peace
For the christian - Jesus = peace.
For the world - ability = peace
for the christian - adequacy = peace
For the world - peace is something you work for.
For the christian - peace is something you receive.
For the world - absance of trouble = peace
For the christian - peace can be found even in the midst of trouble.
For the world - peace depends on externals.
For the christian - peace depends on eternals.

What would he leave to them whom he called to preach the Gospel?
What would he leave to them who he called to be a light in the darkness?
What did Jesus have that He knew his disciples would have great need of?
For Jesus it truly is a case of: “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have I give to you:
