All Things Jesus
Do you ever wonder why God allows things to happen?
Ever want to know why you feel despair even when you are a Christian?
Do you suffer problems; wonder about God’s direction?
Life in this world is hard, it is confusing, it is challenging and it is demanding.
Having these feelings or questions is not out of the ordinary, having faith does not mean you don’t have questions, don’t suffer, don’t feel.
Even the Prophets of old felt like this.
Full of turmoil, withers away, does not remain.
- that does not sound good does it?
We have a better way today, a better hope, that is in Jesus Christ who said.
He is the way!
All things Jesus is going to be a fun series and I hope you enjoy it.
We need to remember
COl1:14
So when I say “all things Jesus” God means it, His Word says it and this series will show us over and over again how Jesus is all things and He is THE WAY!
Way to Better Life
Jesus has stated His purpose for coming to this earth.
Seek and save the lost
Have life, abundantly
He even said He fulfilled prophesy
Lk4:
And in case you were wondering what scripture let me tell you.
LK4:
This abundant life, full life, does not mean a “health, wealth and prosperity” life.
It does mean, through Jesus and our redemption we have a loving Father in heaven.
He knows our needs and meets our needs.
Supplies by His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
This better, abundant, full life, where He meets our needs is for the one who is fully committed to Him.
He was fully committed to you when He went to the Cross and wants you to be fully committed to Him.
So consider today how committed are you to Him? Does you life, your words, your actions show, speak of your commitment to Him?
Even in the hard times, we can learn how to be content
php4:11-
Just prior to AD70 Christians were undergoing severe persecution, suffering and Peter put it like this.
1Pt1:
so the ways to
rejoicing in suffering, in trials, in testing by fire, we can do that when we know Jesus is the WAY to God
Way to God
Better life, abundant life
Many come to say they are Christians and there are many ways to God, but Jesus says He is the way.
Luke expounds on it
The goal is God! Jesus is the way to God, He is the way of reconciliation to the Father who we were separated because of our sin.
Jesus came to reconcile man back to God the Father, we cannot lose that fact.
Paul told us about it
2OCr5:18-20
The word that was committed to the Apostles and Prophets was given to us as we hold it in our hands now, to bring reconciliation!
Jesus the way, Mark Copeland put it this way.
“One does not truly experience what it means to have eternal life without having an intimate relationship with the Father, as well as with the Son.”
That is exactly what we have in Jesus when we accept His offer of Grace.
John shares some of Jesus prayer to the Father in Jn17,
What is eternal life?
It is knowing the Father the only true God (v.3) and Jesus.
The way to a better, fuller, abundant life, the way to forgiveness of sins and reconciliation to the Father is through the Son.
We are not to be confused by religions, for God is not the God of confusion

Way out of Confusion
Many people have been confused by all the different man made religions who claim they are the “true church: there are different doctrines, conflicting doctrines, but God is not about confusion.
we are to be united, unified, have all things in common.
Jesus even warned about these issues.
Jesus in His prayer in Jn17 that I mentioned earlier had this to say too.
Jesus promised to build HIS CHURCH not churches
But I can’t do that scripture alone, you must see it in context
It is on the words of Peter that Christ is the Son of the living God that is what the church MY church was to be built on and the gates of hell will not overpower it.
Remember Satan came to kill steal and destroy, Jesus came to build His church and the church prevailed.
In His church, the church Jesus built, that Peter proclaimed, that Luke stated and Paul expounds on that we have unity in.
We have the solution to religious confusion when we point to Jesus as the way to the Father.
For only through the Son and the Father do we have the way to eternal life.
