Have you ever had a day that changed your life? Well I did.... you see… Until this particular day.... I had always struggle struggled to hear properly … every sound was muffled and distorted.. if only I could hear like other people maybe I could speak like other people…Every word I spoke came with much effort and difficulty….. I always knew what I wanted to say… but could never get the words out.… I left every conversation feeling frustrated and disappointed with myself…

every word I spoke came with much difficulty… it took effort and strain.. Have you ever had a day a moment that changed your life forever… Well I did.... you see… Until this particular day.... I always struggled with a terrible speech impediment.... I had this Stuttered… every word I spoke came with much difficulty… it took effort and strain.. I always knew what I wanted to say… but could never quite articulate the words… I left every conversation feeling exhausted and frustrated and to be honest it was easier to just listen than to engage in conversation. I had given up hope and resigned to the fact that this was the way life would be.....
But.... on that day... everything changed.… You see on this day The Teacher came to our town - He came preaching a message of Hope... He told us about the Kingdom of Heaven and He could forgive us for sins....His message came with miracles — he healed the sick.......the lame walked and the blind received back their sight… I was told that Jesus once prayed for a mute man and he was given the gift of speech.... If Jesus did it for that man…surely He could do it for me.. For the first time in along time.... I had hope...
When Jesus laid hand on the sick we saw them recover...
All I can tell you that when he spoke, it was as if the lights got turned on in a dark room… very word pierced your heart… I heard that Jesus had prayed for a mute man and now was able to speak.. The question was would Jesus notice me through the crowd? I sat for three days hoping that I would be chosen… maybe he would notice me....
I was told that Jesus once prayed for a mute man and he was given the gift of speech.... If Jesus did it for that man…surely He could do it for me.. For the first time in along time.... I had hope...
He put his hand on my shoulder…
Would Jesus notice me through the crowd? After three days of teaching my friends led me by the hand… they asked Jesus to pray for me… I will never forget what love I felt when… Jesus looked me… it was as if he knew every detail and every struggle and disappointment.... I felt the warmth of his touch on my shoulder…
I will never forget that moment when he touched me … he put his hand on my shoulder… He first touched my ear and then he touched my lips and He gazed towards heaven… I watched his lips and saw the words “be opened”... In that instant …
He first touched my ear and then he touched my lips and He gazed towards heaven… I watched his lips and saw the words “be opened”... In that instant …
he then touched my ear and then my mouth...He looked towards the sky …and I read hi lips - he said “be opened”... In that instant … everything that was obscure became crystal clear…
everything that was obscure became crystal clear…
I will never forget that moment when Jesus looked at me… it was as if He already knew every detail of my life … ... he understood my battles.... every struggle and every disappointment....
After hearing him teach .... my friends led me to him.. I will never forget that moment when.... Jesus looked at me… our eyes met and He knew me personally… he knew about my battles....my insecurities... he knew my tears and disappointments...
Would Jesus notice me through the crowd? I sat for three days hoping that I would be chosen… maybe he would notice me....
thsaid that he was the Messiah and that he had the power to forgive sins and heal the wounded and the broken… I had heard that even the mute spoke… The place was crowded and how could he even notice me? My friends took me by my hand and brought me into his presence… I will never forget that moment when he touched me … he put his hand on my shoulder… He touched my ear and He looked up toward heaven… he simply said the word “Be Opened.”

place was crowded would he ever notice me? On the third day my friends took me by my hand and brought me into his presence… I will never forget that moment when he touched me … he put his hand on my shoulder… He touched my ear and He looked up toward heaven… he simply said the word “Be Opened.” Now, I never knew that
When he spoke his word touched the heart and then there were the miracles… I heard that even a man who was born a mute now spoke… once again I had some hope… But would he notice me through the crowd… After three days a group of my friends led me by the hand… and they ask Jesus to pray for me… I will never forget that moment when he touched me … he put his hand on my shoulder… He touched my ear and He looked up toward heaven… he simply said the word “Be Opened.” Now, I never knew that
what was obscure became crystal clear… I could hear everything… not only could I hear but I spoke in full sentences…
I could hear everything… not only could I hear but I spoke in full sentences…
Would Jesus notice me through the crowd? After three days of teaching my friends led to him.. they knew that I needed his help....… I will never forget when Jesus looked me… it was as if he knew every detail of my life and that he understood my battles.... every struggle and every disappointment.... I felt the warmth of his hand on my shoulder…I knew that even if that’s all I felt that my life would never be the same again… The He moved his hand and he touched my ear and then my mouth...He looked towards toward …and I was looking directly at him.... I read his lips - he said “be opened”... In that instant …it was if someone turned on the power… Everything that was obscure became crystal clear…I could hear everything noise and word around me.... The first sentence was one I spoke was perfect… no struggle….. no flaw....
I felt the warmth of his hand on my shoulder…If nothing else happened that day I would never forget that feeling of his touch… But Jesus continued… He laid his hand on my ear and then he touched my tongue… in my heart I really believed...
his word pierce your heart… he spoke with such conviction and authority.., and when he was done he prayed for the sick.… I heard that he prayed for a mute man who now was able to speak.. Would Jesus notice me through the crowd? After three days of teaching my friends led me by the hand… they asked Jesus to pray for me… I will never forget that moment when he touched me … he put his hand on my shoulder… He touched my ear and he he touched my lips and He looked up toward heaven… He cried out “Be Opened.”

....this time it felt different --- there was no struggle....it was as if I had been set free from a large weight. All I could say to Him, “My Lord and my God…thank you... you are to be praised..”
All I could say to Him, “My Lord and my God…thank you... you are to be praised..”
I could hear everything…..it was as if I had been set free from a large weight.... I opened my mouth and spoke, “My Lord and my God.. you are to be praised..”

The book Mark tells us that that those who witnessed this miracle were not only astonished by what they witnessed but they gave thanks…
I opened my mouth....this was unusual --- there was no struggle.... no difficulty. All I could say is, “My Lord and my God…thank you... you are to be praised..”

we have all kinds of distractions that can drown out God’s voice...
Mark 7:37 ESV
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
Mark 7:7
Harvest is a wonderful time of the year where we have the time for reflection and thanksgiving. It’s about having gratitude.. There are many benefits that comes from having gratitude… One of them is that is simply good for you... The University of California San Diego's School of Medicine found that people who were more grateful actually had better heart health, specifically less inflammation and healthier heart rhythms. They showed a better well-being, a less depressed mood, less fatigue, and they slept better.... The second benefit of Gratitude is that it opens your eyes to the miracles in life..
God steals heals the sick the lame and even the mute...
I had given up hope and resigned to the fact that this was my burden in life… besides in the scope o things… this was relatively small thing compared to what others have to face in life.... But this one day everything changed.… This Teacher came into our town and he gave this strong message on Faith in God… that there is Hope and that God heals the sick the lame and even the mute...
Harvest is a wonderful time of the year where we have the time for reflection and thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is always the response to God’s grace upon our lives… Grace is unmerited favor… it is getting blessing that maybe we didn’t anticipate… Grace simple as the fact that God gave you the last breathe… and moves toward his provision…

What is Gratitude?
Gratitude is really a response to Grace.... Grace is unmerited favor or blessings … Grace always comes down from Father towards us..
Thanksgiving is always the response to Grace.... Grace is unmerited favor… it is getting blessing that maybe we didn’t anticipate…or something we really didn’t earn.
… as you can imagine how frustrating this might be… On this day we heard of a great teacher who came to town… not only did he teach but he was said to be sent from God and able to do miracles...

Gratitude comes from the word Eucharist… means to give thanks.. Gratitude comes from seeing the miracles of life…These are the big things…. healings and miracles… just like Fred’s story tonight… as one who saw him laying in hospital bed in paradise.... all can tell you is that Fred is living proof that God still heals today..
We heard of his teaching and miracles…
It had been the most amazing three day… the kind of experience that
Those in the crowd said “he has done all things well” lets think about that response… to grace…
A multitude of people had been following Jesus in the desert region of Galilee for three days…
There are many benefits from living from the place of gratitude… studies have been shown the benefits of gratitude…The University of California San Diego's School of Medicine found that people who were more grateful actually had better heart health, specifically less inflammation and healthier heart rhythms. They showed a better well-being, a less depressed mood, less fatigue, and they slept better.

Gratitude is closely connected to the word Grace.... Grace is God’s unmerited favor… Grace includes the smallest details… like the last breath that you took… the gift of life… moves towards provision, blessing of family, blessing of health...
Gratitude is closely connected to Grace.... Grace is God’s unmerited favor… Grace speaks of blessing a favor upon our lives… it includes the smallest details… like the last breath that you took… the gift of life… moves towards provision, blessing of family, blessing of health...

I want to take just a few moments to talk about the importance of living with a heart full of gratitude...
Gratitude is closely connected to the word Grace.... Grace is God’s unmerited… unearned....underserved favor....
…. healings and miracles… just like Fred’s story tonight… as one who saw him laying in hospital bed in paradise.... all can tell you is that Fred is living proof that God still heals today..
Gratitude comes from the word Eucharist…. It speaks to the attitude we have towards what Christ did for us on the cross.. Some of us might look at this year and see healings and miracles… just like Fred’s story tonight… as one who saw him laying in hospital bed in the Hospital in paradise.... all can tell you is that Fred is living proof that God still heals today..
the birth of child is a miracle… we sit down to a meal… the fact that those crops were planted and now they are food … that’s the miracle of nature.… if you look for miracles you are going to find them. I love the response of those in this miracle of Jesus… they were Astonished… by the miracle… but they also responded…
… that’s the miracle of nature.… if you look for miracles you are going to find them. I love the response of those in this miracle of Jesus… they were Astonished… by the miracle… but they also responded…
. Gratitude is a verb it has movement - it is a responsive action —
Gratitude comes from the word Eucharist speaks of the Lord’s supper
“He has done all things well” — What a response… in context it means not just in that moment.. it’s written in perfect active indicative tense… which means that
Gratitude not only sees the big things… but Miracles are seen in everyday life. Through relationships, through provision, through someones kindness.... Gratitude looks for the miraculous in everyday life.
The interesting about hearing is you don’t have to be deaf to be hard of hearing… Today we have all kinds of distractions, like the pace of life… things that can muffle or dampen the miracles of life.
Thanksgiving is a responsive word — it’s how we respond to life and those around us… Gratitude comes from seeing the miracles of life… the birth of child is a miracle… we sit down to a meal… the fact that those crops were plants and planted… now you partaking of the miracle in nature… if you look for miracles you are going to find them.
sit down to a meal…Our food came to our table through a process… of planting and harvest…and now we are enjoying the miracle of nature.. You can live with your eyes closed… Grace says… that the breath that you just took was because God’s grace… The point is that if you look for miracles arround you ....you are going to find them. I love the response of those in this miracle of Jesus… they were Astonished… then the verse… says… “He has done all things well” — What a response… in context it means not just in that moment.. it’s written in perfect active indicative tense… which means that He always does things well...
The point is that if you look for miracles around you ....you are going to find them.
we have all kinds of distractions that can drown out God’s voice...
Thanksgiving is a responsive word — it’s how we respond to life around us…
Those who had witnessed this witness miracle were saying that God is Good… it was speaking beyond the miracle they had just witnessed.. it was saying that God is in fact good all the time..
we get to experience God’s creation we get to experience God’s goodness and grace...
When God created on each day he said that it was good
echos through the scriptures…
perfect active indicative tense…. Which basically speaks of God’s goodness all the time..GOD’s GOODNESS echos through the scriptures… From creation all the way through to the book of Revelation.
This phrase actual echos through the scriptures…
He has done all things well” is a phrase that echoes throughout the Scriptures.. it is the idea that God is inherently Good… and we as his creation get to experience God’s goodness and grace..
From creation all the way through to the book of Revelation. When God created on each day he said that it was good… when he greated man he said it was very good...
When God created on each day he said that it was good… when he greated man he said it was very good...
Thanksgiving is really our response to his goodness and grace… Grace speaks of all his blessings.... It is not only big things… but also the every day miracles.. the gifts of your spouse, your family, of friends, of provision, a roof over our heads…
Grace is unmerited favor or blessings … Grace always comes down from Father towards us..
There have been studies that give the benefits of living a life of gratitude for one thing it reduces your stress levels and can have positive affects your health.. but living with an Thankfulness is actually embraces word view… that say that God is at work in the world.. God is at work in our lives. The more we think about God and his provisions, the more reasons we have to be thankful....
Gratitude comes from the word Eucharist…. e not only sees the big things… but Miracles are seen in everyday life. Through relationships, through provision, through someones kindness.... Gratitude looks for the miraculous in everyday life.
