George Washington Proclaimation

"By the President of the United States of America.

A proclamation: Whereas, it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, & humbly to implore His protection & favor, - and

"Whereas, Both Houses of Congress have by their joint committee requested me `to recommend to the people of the United States a day of Public Thanksgiving & Prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God. .

"Now, Therefore I do recommend & assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great & glorious Being who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be. .

."

FOUR THINGS WE CAN BE THANKFUL FOR THIS THANKSGIVING

1.

I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR THE GRACE HE’S SHOWN TO ME

Grace is Everything God does for you even though you don’t deserve it.

2. I AM THANKFUL TO GO FOR THE PLAN HE HAS FOR ME

3. I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR THE HOME IN HEAVEN HE’S PREPARED FOR ME.

The Bible says you were created in God’s Image which means you have a SOUL.

What will Heaven be Like?

REUNITED

REWARDED

REASSIGNED

RELEASED

HEAVEN was made for you and I.

4. I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR THE CHANGES HE’S MAKING IN ME.

God loves you just the way your, but He loves you too much to let you stay the way you are.

WAYS WE CAN GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD

1. WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD BY SINGING.

2. WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD BY SERVING THE LORD.

All work is God’s work if it’s done in the name of Jesus

3. WE GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD BY GIVING TO THE LORD

The Level of My Giving Shows my Level of My Gratitude.

At Thanksgiving We Need to Review My Commitments.

At Thanksgiving We Need to Renew My Commitments.

At Thanksgiving We Need to Out-do My Commitments.

4. WE GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD BY TELLING OTHERS ABOUT JESUS.
