Luke 17:17 KJV 1900

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

I Distance (afar off)

The word afar off is only used twice in Scripture and both times it represented people that were able to discern Christ from an alienated position!

Luke 18:13 KJV 1900

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

II Desire -

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

III Duty - - “It’s Proof of an Inner Change”

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

IV Destiny

Nine got what they wanted out of Jesus. They have no more interest.

Is their evidence of your salvation that is revealed by you giving thanks?
