When babies are little, they often do not understand the purpose of things. How do you know this? What do babies do with shoes, papers, phones…etc
Once you figure out what something is, then you put it to use.
Have you ever seen a toddler pick up a plastic, fake phone? What do they do with it? They pretend. Why? They have learned the purpose of it.
God has created man with a purpose. Once you find out what the purpose it, you and I need to do something about it!

Illustration: Had the privilege of spending time with Wilbur Gibson this past week. Through the time, I was able to look at several photo albums. During this time, I became aware about how much his grandchildren were striking resemblances of Wilbur.
The image represents someone or something. Man and woman were created in the image of God. They are representatives of God on this earth.

The cultural mandate refers to the earliest commission given to mankind....When God created Adam and Eve after His own image and placed them in the garden of Eden, He gave them some responsibilities: to cultivate the earth, to rule the earth and to fill the earth by multiplying their offspring (see ).

This means that God did not create evil.
This means that God did not create sin.
This also means that death and sin were NOT already in existence.
Summary: We thus conclude that man was created by God and for God. What this means is that man was created to reflect God’s image in the midst of many other creatures who are NOT created in the image of God.

You have people who devote themselves to having big families, good family values, and devoted to families but who are not thoroughly devoted to God. Why? Because the cultural mandate becomes a fog that does not allow them to see the fullness of what God intended in the beginning.

GOD CREATED YOU TO GLORIFY HIM. GOD CREATED TO TO BE A WORSHIPPER OF GOD. HE CREATED TO MAKE WORSHIPPERS OF GOD. So, what are you going to do about it?
(1) If you are not saved by the blood of Christ, you have not been created in Christ Jesus and you do not bear Christ’s image. You must come to Christ.
(2) When you go to work tomorrow, go as a worshipper of God seeking to make worshippers of God.
