Jesus the Healer
Is 53:4
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Jesus didn’t just come to redeem us in the sense of bringing us eternal life.
He came to save us!
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
The word SAVE here is the Greek word “Sozo”
This word occurs roughly 107 times in the NT.
It doesn’t mean just to save or keep from hell.
The word is also translated

Get Well
Cured
Recover
Preserved
Ensure Salvation
Bring Safely
Restore
To Heal
There is a completeness to the work that Jesus did that we can walk in right now!
Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—
Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
Jesus carried a missional mandate upon His life. He came to completely undo the effects or works of satan upon the earth.
[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
Jesus came to UNDO or DESTROY the works the devil has done!
Sin and the effects of sin

Disease
Cancer
Diabetes
Blindness
Mobility Issues
Deafness
Mute and Speech Issues
Emotional and Mental Sickness
Demonic oppression and possession
And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.
So the report of Him spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all who were sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, those under the power of demons, and epileptics, and paralyzed people, and He healed them.
What did Jesus do during His earthly ministry?
Taught the people - there is transformation through the revelation of the Word of God!
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Preached the Good News - What is the Good News - salvation, eternal life, redemption, healing, deliverance!
Healed every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people!
What was the result?
The report of Him spread and they brought all who were:
sick
afflicted
possessed
epileptics
paralazed
He HEALED THEM!

When Jesus commissioned the 72 in Luke Chapter 10, He gave them clear instructions.

And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.
Whenever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you;
Jesus established a parallel between HEALING and the MANIFESTATION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
The Kingdom of God has come and has not left, therefor HEALING continues to be the fruit or product of the Kingdom of God in the earth.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
“they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
These signs will follow who? - Those who believe!
Authority over the demonic
Tongues
Supernatural
Supernatural Protection
Healing of the sick
Healing confirms the truth found in the Word!

Healing results in amplified revelation and discipleship
And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has healed you. And at once he received his sight and accompanied Jesus on the road.
Mat 10:52
And a great crowd was following Him because they had seen the signs (miracles) which He [continually] performed upon those who were sick.
There was an authenticity on what Jesus was doing and what He has delegated to us today!
Healing results in Praise!
And leaping forth he stood and began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
And all the people saw him walking about and praising God,
And he arose at once and picked up the sleeping pad or mat and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and recognized and praised and thanked God, saying, We have never seen anything like this before!
There is a NEVER SEEN BEFORE REALM God is bringing some of you into! It’s not anything new because the Father has seen it on you all along, it’s written in the word about you but you going to behold it!
Healing results in serving
He touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and began waiting on Him.
